THE NORTHIES STORY

NORTHIES brand was officially launched in February 2017, but the NORTHIES story starts almost 20 years ago when I was in my teens. For as long as I can remember, I loved to create. I've always enjoyed putting pencil to paper and trying to come up with something that could catch someone's attention. I still have notebooks full of logos and designs that never came close to becoming anything. In fact, there were actually five separate half assed attempts I've made in my life at starting a brand of some kind! I laugh about it now and am grateful I didn't blow too much money on those ventures. For each failed attempt however, I learned something and got a little closer to creating a brand I could get excited about and take some pride in.

Living in Thunder Bay, Ontario for over 15 years now, I have become more and more inspired by life in the north and the rugged beauty that lies so close to our city limits. I wanted to create a brand that complimented my surroundings and inspired others to get outside and enjoy the beautiful wilderness that we have at our fingertips.
